Why is Torbay Council Ignoring The Hospital's Annual Report?  This is what I've found out:  Council Statement:  "Due to the Local Elections and the timing of the publication of the Quality Account, Torbay Council's Overview and Scrutiny Board has not been able to consider Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust's Quality Account for 2018/2019."

Privatisation Gone Mad!!!!!  The Department of Health makes LOANS to Torbay Hospital (£67.8million) to spend on improvements. As well as having to pay back the loans, the hospital has to pay interest of as much as 3.5%  Over £1 million a year is given to a private company to provide maintenance and catering at Dawlish; over £2.7 million at Newton Abbot. Profits that should stay in the NHS. ...

7-day Service Standards  Torbay Hospital:  Emergency admissions seen by a suitable consultant within 14 hours of admission: Standard not met.  High dependency patients seen twice daily and other patients once daily by a suitable consultant: Standard not met.  Maximum waiting time of 4 hours after arrival 86% (target 95%, dropping for the last 3 years).  Maximum time of 18 weeks from referral to treatment 82% (target 92%, dropping for the last 3 years).  Maximum 6 week wait for diagnostic procedu...
